WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT

Critical Confidence

Kids won't enforce boundaries that they can't back up. We teach them the tools to handle a physical altercation, and the confidence to avoid them.

Fighting Fire with Water

Most martial arts focus on punches and kicks. We focus on purely defensive techniques that range from verbal boundary setting to leverage based holds and controls.

Playful Learning

Jiu-Jitsu is all about play! In Gracie Bullyproof, kids gain discipline, control, and focus through fun games and positive reinforcement from our expert instructors.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS

Casey Johnston

Casey Johnston began his Jiu-Jitsu journey at the age of four under the guidance of his father, Jake Johnston, and has grown into a skilled practitioner and natural leader. Earning his early belts from Pedro Sauer and the Gracie brothers, Casey has spent his life immersed in the art, teaching alongside his family since his early teens. Now a fully Certified Instructor, he serves as the lead instructor of the Gracie Bullyproof program at Gracie St. George, where his deep understanding of the fundamentals, patient teaching style, and magnetic presence continue to inspire the next generation.

Jake Johnston

Jake Johnston began his journey in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in 1992, drawn by a deep conviction in the art’s power to protect and transform lives. After training under Master Pedro Sauer and later becoming a black belt in 2006, Jake dedicated his life to preserving the self-defense roots of Helio Gracie’s philosophy. As the founder and head instructor of Gracie St. George, he now teaches the advanced Master Cycle curriculum while also assisting in the Gracie Bullyproof program alongside his two sons, Casey and Tyler. With over three decades of experience, Jake brings a rare depth of knowledge, a heart for teaching, and a steady hand that continues to shape the spirit of Jiu-Jitsu in Southern Utah.
